Willow Grove Farm is positioned to offer exceptional grazing facilities for a limited number of thoroughbred horses.  We can ensure they get the maximum benefit from their lay off and are in the best condition when they return to work.

The land has previously been used for cattle, sheep, and hay.  Through our precise field management we have created lushous pasture and grazing for horses.  The paddocks vary in size and new horses will have the opportunity to let-down in a smaller paddock before joining companions in the larger paddocks. Soil and roughage samples are analysed to ensure the nutritional value of the paddocks is optimal. 

New fencing has been especially designed for permanent pasture for horses.  Four lengths of thickly plastic-coated galvanized steel core give excellent electric conductivity and are supported by a generous number of new pressure-impregnated creosoted posts.  3-metre-wide galvanized steel gates are half-meshed, and new water troughs are raised off the ground to avoid pollution from badgers, etc.

A boundary fence of equine grade tornado wire and top rail surrounds the property ensuring additional security and at night the farm gates are locked.
